Save Water, Respect the Elements – one cutting at a time!

Livpure is a latest entrant in the purified water space (or at least in my knowledge), and they are doing a lot to promote themselves. What surprised me was this new idea of Save Water campaign! Oft ignored restaurant water is one of the targets here. Once you see the advert, you immediately connect it to your own experience at a restaurant. So let’s recap and see the videos, shall we?

    Save Water in Offices!

While you can understand saving water, however it is important to also save water everywhere! Especially corporate offices, where one spends a good nine hours a day.

    Save Water at homes!

It is a no-brainer. Often I have seen guests not fully drinking water in the glass. Of course, I am not going to frown on you if you ask for more water, so why not ask for half water if you do not want it full. 🙂

    Save Water at Restaurants!

This is novel idea. The ideator should get rewarded for coming up with this brilliant campaign that connects with the audience the best!

    Have a Cutting Water!

Now cutting water is an interesting take, however it will be difficult for every Indian to understand this language. Typical of Mumbai, the Cutting Chai is the quintessential half glass of tea that keeps the Mumbaikar going. The terminology and its use is spread across India, however sporadically.

This is something that I already do at my home – carry a jar of water to a guest and ask how much should I pour. It is often under looked aspect, but thanks to Livpure’s campaign, I expect it to gain huge momentum. What they now need to do is to ensure that people do not forget it.

How Livpure and other brands can help?

One of the things with we Indians is that it is easy for us to forget that a small change will help our future. In spite of it being absolutely essential for our generation to do, we often go with the flow and it fizzles out in the long run. Brands like Livpure can keep the theme campaign going but ensuring they give us timely reminders of such instances.

One of the things they can do is to allow people to share their own videos of ordering a cutting paani when at the restaurant. Of course, not as professional as they have shot. An incentive should keep the momentum going.

How can you help save more water?

Livpure has started a change.org campagin to save water in this unique way, calling it #CuttingPaani. I would encourage you to sign up for the change already, yeah! When you sign the petition, team at Livpure will be submitting the petition to restaurant owners and concerned government authorities to take appropriate measures for the implementation of #CuttingPaani

Should Livpure extend the petitions to corporates as well? Absolutely.

  • Limited or no ads – YouTube redefines monetization

Limited or no ads – YouTube redefines monetization

So YouTube introduced a new advertiser friendly guidelines, based on which an algorithm reviews all videos and tags these videos automatically to a new set of monetization category. Earlier, YouTube only had either Monetized or Non-Monetized option. Now we also have limited or no ads. I noticed this on my YouTube channel, Indianomics TV recently and was surprised by the move.

What is Limited or no ads?

The newly introduced “Limited or no advertisement“, may mean that either there will be no advertisement at all or very few adverts. The lack of advertisement under this category is not restricted by YouTube, but given the categorization, advertisers may be wary of pushing their ads on these videos.

And even if the adverts do make their way, chances are that money they will be charged would be very less than other comparable fully monetized adverts, and then by keywords. Demand for such advert slots will be more popular with new small scale advertisers as well, then? I sure can guess that it will. And hopefully keep up with the current revenue stream? YouTube has listed their Advertiser friendly guidelines, which every YouTuber should be familiar about.

What does this mean to me as a YouTuber?

As some of you may already know that I operate a small YouTube channel by my blog name, Indianomics. I am using Google AdSense for close to 12 years now on this blog, but never made enough money to get a cheque of $100! Yes, I have not been using AdSense right enough. Then there were many years that I did not publish adverts at all.

It so happened that I pushed my latest video of Yeti, my Royal Enfield Himalayan, completing a year with me. The video got about 300 hits before Google’s new Limited or no advertisement icon showed up. And I wondered, what was wrong with the video immediately. This Limited or no ads thing is surely an area of concern for me, as this does have the possibility of reducing my ad income, even though minuscule, further.

I guess many other YouTuber’s videos were hit by this new status and panic is surely to set in. What if I stop making money on these videos? It does not impact me, but those who make money from YouTube’s advertisement are hoping they do not get impacted.

So what not to do? Is there a cheat list?

Well there is no definite cheat list, for starters, go about complying fully to Google’s YouTube content guidelines. guidelines like Community, Monetization and Basic Polices, and advertiser friendly guideline. More importantly our topic, the last one – advertisers are at the core of YouTube’s revenue generation for itself and content creators. Hence, ensure you are following all of the guidelines.

Second, ensure your content or content description does not have the following.

What not to do on YouTube?
Any form of Violence or WeaponsWeapons, attack (gamers beware), kill, death, gun, ammo, ammunition, bullets, grenade, missile, assault, slaughter, punish, suicide,
Controversial subjectsTerrorism, drugs, other general controversies prevalent at that time, alcohol, abuse, rape,
Inappropriate or Hateful languageSwear words (all of the most common) like fuck, shit, damn, crap, jerk, ugly. Hateful content like homophobia, negative tones on god, faith, or any other current issues at the time.
Harmful or dangerous activityhacking, passwords, crack, selling dangerous goods like drugs and other explosive content,
  • Ring tones of Rajasthan Tourism Ads

Ring tones of Rajasthan Tourism Ads

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]If you have read my review about the Rajasthan Tourism advertisement, then you are here to download the Rajasthan Tourism ring tones. Do not forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel, Indianomics TV.

Ever since I first heard and watched the advertisement of Rajasthan Tourism, I fell in love with it immediately. It is perhaps one of the most captivating advertisement I have seen in a while. So smitten by it that I actually had to extract the background score and song out of these videos and add these as ring tones on both of my phones. These Rajasthan tourism ringtones are conversation starters, I must tell you! I have compiled two set of ring tones for iOS (.m4r) and other (.mp3) devices, download them from below.

Here is a compiliation of all of the famous Rajasthan Tourism Ads.

[/vc_column_text][vc_cta h2=”Download Rajasthan Tourism Ringtones for Android/Windows Phones for Free MP3 in ZIP”]Downloading ring tones for Android and Windows Phones is far easier than for iOS devices like iPhone. All you need to do is, download the ZIP file attached here on your Mac/PC or Mobile. Use an UNZip Utility like WinZip or 7Zip (preferred) to extract the MP3 files into a folder.

    Android Phones

Once the files extracted, connect your phone to the Mac/PC and transfer the newly extracted ring tones into your phone. I personally would create a custom Ringtone folder for all custom ring tones, but you can decide where you need to place them. Remember, not all android phones work alike so you will need to figure out how it works for your device.

    On your PC/Mac

    1. Download the ZIP file and store it an accessible folder that you remember or you can just copy the files already.
    2. Connect your Android phone with the USB cable to your PC
    3. Open my computer and then click open the “Phone” icon.
    4. You will find a folder named “Ringtones”, go ahead and open it. If not, you can create a new folder named “Tones” or “Ringtones”.
    5. Paste the copied songs in to this folder.

Setting ring tones on your phone

    1. Go to setting > Tones (or respective option on your phones) and you will see the list of options.
    2. Tap on the “Ringtone” and it opens a list of ring tones.
    3. If you already do not see your new tones on the list, then click on custom ringtone and navigate to the folder where you stored the MP3 files.
    4. Go to the song you want to use as your new ringtone and select / touch / tap on it.

Then go to Settings > and select the Rajasthan Tourism Advert ring tone of your choice.

    Windows Phones

Much like the process for Android phones, with exception of where to place your ring tones. Below are the how-to-steps for setting these tones and your ring tones.

    On your PC/Mac

    1. Download the ZIP file and store it an accessible folder that you remember or you can just copy the files already.
    2. Connect your Windows 8/10 Mobile smart phone with the USB cable to your PC
    3. Open “Windows Phone” on your computer and then click open the “Phone” icon
    4. You will find a folder named “Ringtones”, go ahead and open it.
    5. Paste the copied songs in to this folder.

Setting ring tone on your phone

    1. Go to setting > personalization and touch select the “sounds” option.

Rajasthan Tourism Adverts hit a high note

    [vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

    The Advertisment

Shot by Ogilvy and Mather, the advertisement itself is a piece of art. Showcasing everything that Rajasthan is famous for, and showing things that you and I never imagined existed in Rajasthan. A classic example of this is “Huansthan”, where a Chinese tourist is shown breathing (more…)

Unsuspectingly Indian, Lufthansa creates new emotions

I don’t know how many of you remember ModiLuft? It was an India airline started in 1993 in collaboration with Lufthansa, after the relaxation of economic policies by the government lead by PV Narasimha Rao. The airline ceased operations in 1996 after relationship turned sour between Lufthansa and S. K. Modi, the Indian promoter.

ModiLuft Boeing 737-200 Martin. ModiLuft used a similar livery as Lufthansa

ModiLuft was the only airline in India to fly three classes in domestic network using the then advanced Boeing 737. It soon became a darling of travelers for its on-time performance. Thanks to Lufthansa Technik, the ground handling arm of Lufthansa. ModiLuft’s license was used to create what is now SpiceJet, and apart from that there is nothing in common between them. So why did I bring in this history? (more…)

  • Tata Indica Adverts misleading

This is something I would have least expected from Tata Motors. Misleading customers.

If you carefully look at the image attached in the bigger font, they have written “Petrol Prices making you take the train?” and says out loud that at 25 kmpl, the Indica eV2 shown on the left is India’s most fuel efficient car.

When you closely look at the fine print at the bottom, its written that “ARAI Certified fuel efficiency of 25kmpl for the CR4 diesel engine“. If the Fuel Efficiency is 25kmpl for a Diesel engine, then why blare out and talk about Petrol?

This is nothing but a drive to make people think and go to Tata Motors. They should correct this at the earliest and make the amendments.

  • Bernie Ecclestone does an ad-vantage

F1 superemo, 80 years old Bernie Ecclestone is a man you hardly can associate with failure. On 25 November, Bernie had been attacked by a group of unknown strangers last month outside his offices in Knightsbridge, as thieves made off with his personal belongings including Jewellery after bruising him badly – including his £11,000 Hublot watch.

Instead of being shy and feeling embarrassed, the advent business man that he is, he immediately called up CEO of Hublot and shared his picture with a bruised eye and under lip with an idea for an advertisement, with a caption – “see what people will do for a Hublot”. Both with an equal sense of humor agreed to it as a brilliant PR opportunity, then came up the advertisement which showed up (un-edited) in the local newspapers yesterday.

  • Airtel Ad: Timeless Goodbye

I liked this ad so much. The new Airtel ad where the boy or the girl tells goodbye to each other but keep meeting each other within a fraction of a second. What I really like about this is to show the importance of relationships that are hard to part with. If there are any fans of this ad, post a comment on how you feel about this ad. Two television commercials are created by the agency JWT, the brand’s creative partner, are currently on-air. (more…)

  • Bajaj New AD: Robots

    Bajaj New AD: Robots

A brilliant adaptation. Remember the Citroen Ad? Bajaj has come up with this brilliant ad. Hats off to Bajaj.

The concept is a hive off from the Citroen ad which again was inspired by the movie Transformers. However, this time around, the transformers are Bikes and the bikes are Bajaj Pulsar 180, Bajaj XCD 135 DTSi and Bajaj Discover.

These bikes transform themselves when every body’s out and start playing basketball with the ball created on the spot using the spare tires lying around. I would like to rate this advertisement from Bajaj very high.

  • LMN or Nimbooz? Which one will you prefer?

LMN or Nimbooz? Which one will you prefer?

In the summer, Pepsico could not have found a better product than producing the classical Indian Lemonade. Yes, you might have already seen the adverts, but there is a new rival in the market already.

Parle Agro launched LMN [short for Lemon] just a week after Nimbooz gone live. Nimbooz createad a stirr in the market where people who normally prefer to have an arreated drink switched back to the age old formula of Lemonade.

Lemonade helps you during this tough summer season, especially if you are a guy who is always on the field.

I have tasted both the products and I have to say that Nimbooz a much better product than LMN. The package quality of Nimbooz is also much better than LMN. Did you taste it? Write in your comments.

    Advertisment Review

While both the advertisment are good, LMN stands out because the idea creating a Lilliputian on the beach of full Gaints. It creates exitement. Dirnking LMN changes your energy levels, which is exactly what is potrayed in the advertisment.

The background score of Nimbooz stands loud and clear than that of LMN. I liked the hint of Indianess in the Nimbooz advert.

    My Rating:

    Nimbooz: 2.5/5
    LMN: 3.5/5

  • New Ad: Maaza Mango Mania & Slice – Rasiya Aa jaa

Maaza is rival to the Slice who has used Katrina Kaif so brilliantly, was expected to come with a beater.

In comes Maaza Mango Mania. Its about a story of a dad who is very obsessed with Mangos and his son calls it his Mango Mania. He hurls abuses at the old mango tree the dad helped grow, then calls the Mango dealer at night, secretly. When a politian during his election campagin calls for more benefits for “Aam” aadmi, this dad again is hit by the Mango mania.

Then the son suggests giving his father a mango to drink rather that eat. He gets Maaza and his dad finds solace for its mania.

    Score: 3/5

    Slice: Rasiya Aa Jaa

However, with the Slice’s new Kat advert goes a step further on where they had left it last and set the Idiot box on Fire. Unique idea of using the word Kamasutra to rebrand it with a mango as Aamsutra is something which caught my eye. Futher, there is a added erocticity in the actions of Katrina enjoying Slice envokes senses in every one watching it. She is Pepsi’s brand ambassador since March ’08.

Katrina’s sizzling looks and a good camera close up techniques makes this advert love able. The background score is also perfectly suited to Kat’s actions.

    Score: 4.5/5

  • Vodafone: Amar Chitra Katha

There are two advertisement released for the monthly subscription of Amar Chitra Katha.

The first one is a scene in office where a colleague tells a story to a man and women who get so involved in that they react to every move the story teller is making.

The second advert: A kid sitting on a small round table telling a story in dramatic fashion, keeping the whole camera frame simple and sweet.
